Hi , I Need help in trying to find a car I modified 15 years ago either to purchase or to talk with the owner

The car was shown in the retro car magazine centre pages once I had done it,

Ok it was a Sunbeam Alpine MK4 fitted with a Alfa 2.0 twin cam ORANGE/BLACK

REG NUMBER HYE721C

Any information will be appreciated

Weird actually - if it was on SORN the vehicle enquiry would say "SORN in place", but it's not been off the road long enough for it to pre-date SORN. So I'm not sure what that implies.

Oh hang on, edited my earlier post, Export Marker Y suggest, well, that it's been exported. That's why it's not on SORN.

I thought the export marker Y means it's marked as exported? I know it's normally N.

He rebuilt it again and sold it on to a friends mate ,but I can't seem to get anymore info !! But I will keep looking wish I had put a tracker on it now :-(

It could be in Belgium or Holland. I was offered an orange Sunbeam Alpine with an Alfa 2.0 engine last year (could have been 2 years ago). I didn't see it "live", just some photos, but it wa still looking good. What are the chances that there are 2?

Unfortunately my laptop crashed recently and I lost a lot of mails, so I may not still have any details, but I'll ask around over here.

Looks like no one ever troubled the DVLA with details of the engine change.

I've been asking around, and several people remember it being advertised on 2 free web sites in Belgium. It was for sale for quite a while, but is no longer on either site. I'll be at a classic car gathering this weekend and will ask there as well.

The sites don't charge for placing ads, so I could place a "wanted" ad if you like (please let me know - I'll wait for your reply before I do this). The sites were http://www.kapaza.be and http://www.2dehands.be

Alternatively I'm toying with the idea of selling mine, and I've also got a 2 litre Nord engine in one of the sheds, so if you'd like to start again......

Lol I fancy a project but seem to be tethering towards the TVR s series looking for one with a missing or broken engine as I want to put a chevy in it !!

please advertise the wanted might just be good to talk to the owner !!
