APMP - where to do course

I'm thinking of putting myself through the APMP course, I'm currently a PM but had no formal training.
Can anyone recommended a training provider, or the best way to do the course. I've been thinking of self study but I know the pass rate for the course is quite low, or so I've been told anyway.

I did mine through Civil Service Learning; I don't really feel like I learnt a great deal about project management that I didn't already know and a lot of the course just focussed on how to pass the exam, i.e. key phrases and words to be using. So my advice is to try and get your employer to pay, and to try and obtain a copy of the syllabus before attending so you don't spend a week learning how to just pass an exam. It worked though because I passed!
I did APMP as a four day residential followed by the exam on day five.
I attended with two colleagues who were strong, effective, time served PMs.
We went down on the Sunday night so we were fresh for a Monday start.
We switched off our phones, ignored our emails and limited home contact to a morning and evening phone call and totally immersed ourselves in the course - there is a huge amount to take in so you can tick their boxes in the exam.
Was it worth it to me? - Yes, absolutely - but depending on what sort of arena you are PM'ing in it might appear less relevant to you, but it does seem to be a recognised measure although most job ads ask for PONCE2 (which is a methodology rather than a skill set in my book, but that's an argument for another day).
Oh, pass rate; I passed; the other two guys failed, which was a total shock.
