Was going to work last Thursday and see a very dirty and weathered looking F4 Phantom fuselage on the back of a truck at the Dartford Crossing. Grey with a black tail fin. Was wondering where it came from and going to.
Thanks

Sounds like ex-RAF one - possibly an F4J(UK).

There was an F-4JUK at Manston. That is the only ex-Tiger F-4 I can think of in that part of the world.

Found it I think. It was coming up from Kent, as it was on the flyover from the A2 to the tunnel. Seems there is three in Kent, the Manston one being a near wreck, but this one has the black tail I saw and was in Kent. Other links say it was up for disposal.

Hope that it gets reunited with its wings and doesn't get broken up and scrapped..

Someone confirmed on another forum it was XT907. There are two at Manston, the ex-74 sqn F-4J (UK), and the ex-19 or 92 sqn FGR2, which is rather crisped!!
