Works well on another forum I'm on, they only have about 10 people on at anyone time and of there's a argument it's gone within 5 messages anyway.

Surely a 'block user' feature would be adopted before this? Id also like a toggleable 'suspect user is a bell-end' marker feature too, to use as a halfway house before blocking them.

Ropey java chat might not be that easy to implement, but blocking surely is?

I don't know the stats, but I'd guess that PH has substantial traffic. And given they are a company with assets and their relatively risk averse approach to being sued for libel, the chat box would last about 9 seconds.
