Convertible Soft Top Cleaning... Any help please.

I've been looking at the roof on my car and noticed mould starting to show around the edges and back. I don't trust Car Washes and the warning message on the advertised cleaning products have put me off.
Do any of the PH Guru's have any Tips or Tricks that won't damage the roof.
P.S. Its a dark blue roof, not too sure if this is important.

Use a jetwash, but keep your distance to modulate the pressure
This is what I do. I use an Autoglym Convertible Roof Cleaning Kit. Spray on the groovy ultra-detergent. Let that sink in. Then pressure wash the roof to smash all the grime, bird s
t and so on off. Then wash the car and allow it to dry. Mask up to avoid overspray and use the sealer on the roof. The roof comes up beautifully in my experience.Don said:

Think i'll give this a try tomorrow (at work right now), Autoglym seem to be getting a couple of good reviews almost straight away. t and so on off. Then wash the car and allow it to dry. Just done mine saab
Wetted roof first then scrubbed it with some car shampoo diluted in water with an old snail brush.
Later I re darkened it with some renovo restorer
(Seemed to bring it up and also made the fabric a lot rougher to the touch)
Then I used the renovo water proofer
If I were you I'd scrub it as above and if it's not looking to old id just do it with fabsil

Renovo is to cars what Just for men is to males of a certain age.
The Autoglym stuff is more shampoo and conditioner.
I would never jet wash a soft top
