speedo not working

Just got my car back from a body off chassis restoration and the Speedo is now not working.
They tell me the Speedo sensor was refitted and correctly gapped, so what tests and where should I look for the most likely cause of no reading on gauge ?

Thanks but after a six week job that took six months and a 450 mile trailer journey I would rather sort the snagging list myself as I know they will not be able to resolve all the issues I am left with

Ask the guys who fixed it, what the sensor gap was. It should be about 12/13 thou.

Ah ok gotcha, you would think it would be checked as working before handover of car and money, I despair sometimes of some garages attitudes .
