A9 avarage speed cameras?

Morning Pistonheads massive,

Me old mum is not well so I am about to drive up the a9 to wick, does anyone know if the scameras are working yet?

They are not working yet but expect people doing 35 mph where they are installed. They were up as far as Pitlochry 2 weeks ago, after that progress is much better.

Travelled on that road yesterday a nightmare ..although the cameras are not operating still slow progress from Perth to Blair Atholl.
I see it being a big problem when people stick to the limit and when you speed up on the dual carriage way part to pass slower moving cars you have immediately exceeded the limit between cameras .It has to be upgraded as a matter of urgency it is after all our only link with the north It would never have remained this way had it been in the South of England .
