Help needed for next purchase...

Hi guys.
I have a Canon 600d and a few lenses (Tamron 18-200mm, canon 50mm F1.8 etc)
I went to the Grand Prix yesterday with my dslr and found myself shooting video probably 70% of the time. I've decided I want to move on to shooting video. I've slowly lost the enjoyment of regular photography.
I will be selling my dslr & kit as someone else may as we'll make use of it. My needs are still the same, I still need a snapper for quick photos of the kids, nice opportunistic photos etc. my budget is between £500-750. As it stands I believe I have two options;
1) buy a dedicated camcorder and a bridge camera. Both would be mid range I'm guessing about £250 on a camera and £300-400 on a camcorder.
2) Buy a quality bridge camera that shoots excellent video as well as not-too-shabby snaps.
This purchase needs to be a long term investment for me. I've been looking at the Panasonic FZ1000 as it seems to tick the right boxes; good quality, 1" MOS sensor, 4K video recording (good future proofing), or maybe the Sony RX10.
On the other hand I've been looking at a Panasonic VC-750EBK camcorder which would leave me a small amount for a good value snapper.
Agh, I'm unsure. You advice will be most appreciated.....
