Parking at the Services - an informal opinion needed.

You are towing a car transporter trailer with a car.

You have a choice of parking at the services of

A) Car Park
B) Coach Bay (included for completeness)
C) HGV
D) Car & Caravan bay

Were do you go?

If you were driving a van with a trailer I'd go straight to the HGV area.

I was hungry too. Although the pasty shop would not sell me a pasty that I could see rgiht there because their till was down.

And to answer...

I had stopped at service on the M1 Northbound, which could be operated as part of a bike rice.

Reversed into a space that happened to be right by the car park ticket man in the caravan section. Was told to move it to HGV.... On the long walk back noticed him giving a ticket to a car + trailer in the caravan area.

The operator (nearly forgot naming and shaming there...) tell me he was right and trailers (you know the one smaller than my caravan) should be parked in the HGV area.

So watch out - they are out to get you!
