Just an update,
changed the front Avo's to the back and back to front and quess what, the car sits ok now!
Must have changed them around at some point,
Thanks Adrian, you were wright, there is a difference in tickness in the springs,
Now waiting for final bits and pieces and then start driving,

Any pics of your car "sitting right" ?
Hans
Yes to the 'current shocks', seat platforms are adjustable (that was not always the case, versions of AVO were available as fixed seat)...and as I understand it, the car is running 185 tyres (so the tyres are not filling the arches) and the AVO/springs combo is a set that came with the car.

I am a novice in shocks (and other things)
Does it help to use " shorter " shocks ?
Or is the riding than always to harsh even with softer springs?
Hans
It only helps to shorten the shock if there is a need to...issues with the differential height and when the suspension is in full droop that the UJ's go past their working angles and the extremes of tracking a car (where drivers USE the kerbs). I like to use softer springs and control the damping, but then, I do not race my cars...Does it help to use " shorter " shocks ?

If as Rudi says the seats are at the lowest, then the seats as such are not doing any thing, then shorter springs will be needed.
