Protect leather from kid seats?

Hey folks, I just got 2 Recaro kid seats for the back of the E61, isofix jobbers.

Now the car has leather and annoyingly the seats have 4 feet that seem to dig in to the leather, also when you push them right back against the seat backs they dig in to that also.

Is there some sort of jazzy mat I can buy to preven this?

yes,
Loadds of kiddie shops sell them.
I just use an old blanket folded over a few tuimes.

Are they thick enough?

one of the kids is 8, he;ll be out of the seat within the year but the belt I liek the secrity of the recaro for him, for now, so he's a lot heavier than the young un, would this stop the weight of skinny eight year old pushing through to the leather do you think?

Amazon seems to have tough ones called "Prince Lionheart" but they're £20 each, I don't mind paying like, I just don't want to buy a lemon

I have had the prince lionheart cover recommended to me by a car valet person. If that helps.

I've got a pair of the Sunshine Kids protectors which have done exactly that for the last 3 years. The seats still look good as new......

Can't comment on the Argos one, but I bought a Mothercare one years ago and that didn't do much to protect the leather seats - the main selling point was it was "anti-slip", and it was a 4-5mm thick rubber mat. This time, I think we'll go with blankets folded for thickness instead...

Hahah, handily it has an integral dog / child guard! I could always ratchet strap them to the boot floor using the handy anchor points!

We have isoxfix seats on them and they've held up fine for last 4 years. Halfords stock them if you want to nip in to see first hand.

The ones I use are called Neat Seat, there are a couple listed on the bay at the moment. They are plenty robust enough for the job.

Hrmm, see the eldests is on a folded up blanket, like a sort of nylon, fake Burberry affair, and that's pushed through and left indentations, I'm tempted to just angle grind the stupid feet off them.

The seats, not the kids, although.....

They are very good, no marks after a year on mine. The patten on the argos versions are pretty horrible though, these are the ones I have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Diono-40241-Ultra-Mat-Blac... Black with red stitching.
