Boxter S official sports exhaust

Hi All,

I'm about to buy my first Porsche ( 2014 Boxter S ) and I want to try and negotiate a discount before I agree the final price on the Porsche sports exhaust as it's the only option it doesn't have that I'd like. Putting aside the natural sound is great does anyone know what the typical cost for this is?

I appreciate there are better/cheaper aftermarket solutions but wondered if anyone had any advice.

I strongly suggest you bargain hard to have it fitted for no-cost.. these things have an enormous mark-up embedded in it.

Got a quote for over £2k from Hatfield. Probably get lynched for saying this, however I am loving the noise from the standard exhaust at the moment, especially when you select it in sport mode..

I agree. I test drove 3 cars yesterday with one of them already having the sports exhaust fitted.
Tbh the difference wasn't £2k's worth and agree that the standard exhaust in sport mode sounds fantastic. So I went for the better specced car without sports exhaust.

I got myself the most fantastic car yesterday (ex demo car) and can't wait for delivery in 2 weeks time!

FWIW, got the PSE on my BS and it just seems to get louder and better as time goes on and the engine loosens up- now on 4900k. Go for it if you can, the cost won't even enter your mind in 12 months but the sound is a pleasure every time you drive the car. And as it gets better the switched option is useful when you need to be a little more discreet
