Apologies if it's been covered time and time again - but…

…just why is the mobile site riddled with  characters?

It'll be a character encoding mismatch between the website and whatever device you're viewing it on.

It should be set to UTF-8 (like the website) but is probably trying to read it as iso-8859-1.

So basically it's a device/browser setting issue. If I set my browser manually to iso-8859-1 it starts showing the same characters, set it back to UTF-8 or Auto and it fixes it.

I have exactly the same problem using Safari on iOS 7 and Chrome on Android.

Maybe just a coincidence - does anyone knkow how to resolve?

...and similarly when I access http:// mobile .pistonheads.com/gassing/ (ignore the spaces - otherwise it defaults to www when published) on Firefox on a Windows 7 PC.
