Secure Parking in central Nottingham

Hi all,

I'm going to a mates Stag do this weekend in Nottingham, and am intending to drive up. We're staying at Jurys Inn and I'm looking for any recommendations for safe/secure parking spots nearby.

I'm hoping to drive my 911 up but am worried as I've not had much luck parking in city center recently, and always seem to return with a ding / dent / scratch or having been broken into. :-( (Thankfully this is on my daily driver not the porker)

Anyway, I'm keen to take the 911 for a good run, but just need somewhere good to park it so I don't spend the whole weekend worrying.

Any recommendations for secure garages or parking spots in N1 / N2 area?

The Jurys Inn has secure parking just off London Road, opposite Hooters! Its mainly undercover and locked after 8pm, my car was fine in there over night, and there were a couple of more expensive vehicles in there as well so i guess their owners were confident enough to leave them.

It says on the signs they are Jurys Inn Secure Parking (big yellow banners) but they are actually a contractor, take plenty of coins for the machines. Cost about £12 for 24h IIRC.

City centre parking in Nottingham is expensive, but (touch wood) never had an issue (though I drive a beaten-up A3, not a porker) - none of my various parking scars was as far as I know inflicted in Notts. Depends where you want to be. Pricey but safe enough are Fletcher Gate (AKA Lace Market) which is Council and Stoney Street - NCP and bookable in advance, both NG1, but there is loads of choice.

ETA always lots of expensive cars in each whenever I visit.

Went to my brother's stag do in May and parked here:

I chose this place as it is 24 hr access and only cost me about £14 for 24 hours.

I drive a 57 plate Mazda 3, so it's hardly a Porsche.

Park in the new multi story train station car park - your car will be fine there.

£4 per day at weekends so very cheap.

Thanks all - Useful to know. Sounds like there are a few good options.

Had secretly hoped there would be one of those posh 'stacking' car parks like in London... (Only because they are quite fun to use, but also very secure)

£10 and you can park at mine. City centre, double garage and electric gates. The ADT police response alarm is just a freebie thrown in !

Jury's is a little out of the war zone.
So, if they are offering parking, the chances are, you'll be fine; just choose you space as best you can.
There was a big road diversion around Jury's recently, which may reduce the traffic using that part of town.

Railway station has a new multi-story and the spaces are a decent size sure car would be fine then. I left a bright orange highly modified mini for a few days (stands out a lot) and had no issues at all
