I am seriously considering stepping out of my X350 4.2 XJ and into an X351 XJ Supersport.
I've loved my X350 - fantastically good car, (someone will be getting a bargain for sure!) but before I make the change is there anything I should know about X351s?
I suspect the engine will be bullet proof, but how about everything else?

Lush car!

Not heard anything abou them tbh. I'd check the condition of the interior trim etc on the early cars and obviously any corrosion on the body, just to be safe....

Enjoy!

My brother has one (I think it is a 62 'plate). He is very pleased with it. Some years ago he had an X350 Super V8. He has found the newer car to be a surprising step forward from it - he was expecting it to be similar. It feels a lot more modern and quite a lot faster.

One thing though, he has found rearward visibility is poor.

I have one. Check that it's had all of its service advisories done. There's one for the roof, and at least two for the entertainment system. If the roof one hasn't been done, the glass roof makes a sound like banging a ring (eg a wedding ring) on a wooden table, whenever the body flexes.

The car likes to be driven, and driven hard. Use Dynamic Mode when you're pressing on, as it sharpens the throttle response, which makes the drive much smoother. It likes a drink! I'm seeing high-20s on a motorway run, high teens when pressing on on A roads, and much less than that in town!

I absolutely love mine. Its only problem is poor luggage capacity, given that it'll carry 5 in comfort.

Every modern Jag since 2006 has a ridiculously small boot. Callum needs to sort this out and less form & more function. The F-Type Convert is nonsense!
