"Mr Sleight was invited to the show by Station Commander at RAF Waddington, Richard Barrow, because of his ties to the RAF as Dean of Public Engagement at the University of Lincoln."...or "Look at me, look at me, sitting with the big man...oh, you're not looking at me, look at my amazing near death crash photo, now look at me, look at me!" - bet he's not invited next year...

Photo is a bit crap, he was panning the camera to the jet on the right of the photo but this means the jet on the left has a lot of motion blur.
Higher shutter speed next time.
Tricky, even at 8000th of a second each Hawk will travel a couple of centimetres during the exposure, and if you can't predict exactly where the cross will be it's difficult to get the shot without panning.Higher shutter speed next time.
