Not for a car, just for furniture, household appliances etc. Approx 100sqft of space might be sufficient. Any recommendations?

Preferably somewhere close to Westhill.

Is hiring a container an option?

Don't see why not, any suggested places?

Probably a bit overkill regarding size, will only need about 100-150sqft or a largish single garage size. Don't need it right now but just planning ahead. Just for temporary storage between moving houses.

Only really the places that hire offshore containers. There are some places that will hire out to the public too.

Might not be much help, but I use the services of Car Storage Scotland at least once a year. Mark and his father run the business and their discreet storage facility is based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. My car is just back from them this morning actually.

They have covered transport available and Mark said to me today he is up and down to Aberdeen regularly. So they could collect the OP's car and return it to him after the house move.

They have the carcoons available if you wanted your car in one, they put your car onto a battery conditioner too while it's inside their secure modern building and their rates are reasonable. Mark is a thoroughly pleasant chap too to have a good blether with (as is his father!).
