Radiator bleed screw washer

Hi folks,

Quick question. The washer that sits under the radiator bleed screw of my Yr 2000 Chim is perished and is not allowing a proper seal. I don't want to over tighten the bleed screw in an attempt to create a seal because I suspect very bad things will happen if I try this (shagged thread, new radiator needed etc). So I need to get a new washer in these soon as.

Is there a specific grade / type of washer that I need to track down, or simply find one that fits and that does not leak when the system is hot and pressurised?

Agreed. Found a good candidate in my tool box (general crap storage container) and this is now undergoing rigorous dynamic functional efficacy, compatibility and stress testing - i.e is there coolant pissing out everywhere when I run the engine?
