Always good to get a photo or two like that locked away in the file. Nice one!

I have the original certificate from TVR and things, going to fill in V555 and get all previous owners and see if anyone is contactable.

Would be nice, also I need to polish my wheels!

Happy to oblige Michael. In fact, I think that is Graham lurking in the background in the natty yellow blazer. Once the wheels are polished they are not too hard to keep on top of.

Oliver.

That's the back up plan! First plan is to get a new drill and one with a spinning chuck, old one burnt out and caught the chuck teeth on one wheel :-(

That's a lovely photo of the Taimar which I sold to Graham and Lesley whilst I was at Harrogate HC. I seem to remember that they lived near Selby in West Yorkshire and they were a very enthusiastic couple becoming involved with the TVR CC. Can't quite place the location, I thought at first that the photos were taken at Sledmere House but not with the Church in the background.
Great memories and best regards to all, Tony

Hi Tony,

It was definitely taken at Sledmere in 1988, maybe they had been having some deforestation that year which allows the church to be seen as I don't remember ever seeing the church! It was my second ever Sledmere (with my beloved Vixen) and so I was still photographing every TVR I could spot.

Is that Graham in the background in the yellow jacket? I don't remember seeing him or the car very often at the meetings I went to.

Hope all's well,

Oliver.

Thanks Oliver, that is Graham in the first photo with the yellow jacket. I think that I can also see Tony Walton who now lives in Canada, perhaps some other 'veterans' can identify some of the other attendees!
All's well here in the sunshine thanks......

Here is the line up from further back, to show Tony it really is Sledmere and to show the nose of a few other early cars. In fact, fourth, from the left (behind Spindley's Taimar, Stewart McCarte's 3000S - now Martin Lilley's - and Graham Ward's 2500M) is OEC834P which is now bronze and for sale in Sussex - see other thread).

Yours anorakally,

Oliver.

Thanks for that Oliver, I'm now convinced! The only other thing that I'm not too sure about is the year, '88 seems a little too late from memory. (After thinking who owned what at that time). Looks like Mike Braim on the left of the bottom photo and that must be his black Tasmin parked on the right.....

Well they are part of 22 photos in my album of TVR photos all labelled as Sledmere House 26/7/88 and come after photos taken at Motor-Ex '88 at Blackpool and the factory S Cosworth racer at Oulton Park and before Paul Tankard's supercharged Tuscan V8 at Harewood in August 1988 so I am bloody positive they are from 1988!

As I bought my Vixen in 1986 and got it on the road that October, my first Sledmere was 1987 and those photos are in a previous album. Actually Tony, I agree that the blond guy on the left is Mike Briam, but I don't ever recall seeing him in a Tasmin - just the Tasvan and a Westfield. But there are a few East Lancs cars there so I think the black Tasmin FHC is the one Mark Masterson had (OBY212W) before he bought the silver Taimar I later owned. Plus, I am pretty sure 1988 was the year I won the Autotests in the Vixen and am sure Mark was my navigator.

Oliver.
