Low profile jack that will fit in the boot well?

hi all

I have a BMW 320d E90 that I have refitted with non-runflats (which I recommend as long as you learn to tolerate the loss of rigidity that you previously had) and so I'm now carrying a spare wheel in the boot of my car.

Now, obviously i need to get the car up if I ever need to put it on and I'm just wondering if anybody knows of any fairly compact jacks that would fit in the boot well under the floor of the boot? I was thinking a bottle jack would be perfect but I have already wasted money on one that will not fit under the car ;[

any help would be appreciated, cheers

3 house bricks.

Turn them into steps - and drive one wheel onto them .

Once one corner is raised the extra height - you can get any jack under the mounting point.

Draper used to sell a small 1.5t Ali trolley jack, cant find the price on one now though.

Just get yourself a decent quality scissors jack, they aren't very expensive and you won't get anything else as compact with the same lift.

If you want something a little posher then get a Porsche 924/944 alloy scissors jack.

Visit to a scrapyard and ses if any of the BMW's in has a jack in ?
OR look on ebay or machine mart ?

Cheers all....totally forgot about the old scissor jack. Appears to be one for 20 notes at Screwfix so will pick that one and hopefully it will fit in the well.

Bricks idea sounds like an idea but probably a bit too Steptoe for me ;p scissor it is....if they can fit under the car fully unwound cos my car is loooow.
