Staying at the Premier Inn in Kew tonight (well looks like Brentwood to me but hey ho). Need a decent pub with good food 5 to 10 mins in a taxi away, any ideas please?

Decent pub grub but wouldn't cook my burger rare.....turns out it's been recently taken over by Mitchell & Butlers so not as good as it was but good for comfort food this evening which is what we needed after a 20 mile walk.

damn chains! hadn't been since last summer.
i do find it impossible to get a burger rare anywhere. even when they will take the order it's usually cooked through.
20mile walk? you should buy a car..... smile

This place looks great. Owned and managed by restauranteur Greg Bellamy and chef Paul Merrett.

Anyone been?

Thanks
