Yellow sticker on rear view mirror?

I've noticed these on on brand new unregistered cars being brought through the docks etc. there are red and green ones too. I assume it's some type of batch recognition system

When I worked at a main dealer a yellow sticker indicated that the car had been PDI checked if it was a new car, or had it's approved used car check and any repairs required carried out

Just a standard auction motif, from his supplier. You should feel grateful he removed the pesky windscreen barcode

Talking of which - whatever happened to the Blue-Peter sanctioned 'Bring and Buy' sales that they used to organise in the 80's??!!

They became "yellow sticker" sales, any old st, sold off as cheaply as possible.
