Had an ABS vibration in the brake pedal under light braking this morning and a couple of days ago, lasted 1-2 seconds. (07 V8)

Driving home from work today and the ABS light comes on, then the traction control light followed by all the Armageddon messages on the dash. Stopped car and upon starting just the ABS light on.

RAC man plugs in but can't read brake fault codes so off he goes. He reckoned it's a Bosch system so any Bosch Garage can read it.

Drove down the road and within a few seconds the light goes off and all is good. Tested the ABS with a hard stop and all works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Also the DSC light and message came on. Looks like this is not uncommon, see the last couple of posts in the link.

It's a Continental system, not a Bosch. Did he get anything from a code at all?

Could be one of many things connected to the ABS system causing you a problem.

Hi it's an ATE unit fitted to them, as for your fault it could be anything and sadly it has to be a AM dealer fix only.
But i was told last time mine played up that there is a presure switich under the master cylinder that plays up if the car tends to stand for a while.
I had half a page of faults showing (because everything is interlinked) but turned out to be a bad contact in the main plug onto the ABS unit
