Why isn't my car selling

Have been trying to sell a car for a while, have it advertised in a few spots, seems well priced compared to rest of what's available/ has been sold already, I think the advert is well written and has a few good pictures of the car.

I am advertising on free sites and marque related forums, is it worth sticking it on eBay/Autotrader or are they just as bad?

What am I doing wrong?

(I have no idea if I'm allowed to post a link to the advert for review, so I won't until I know)

2005 Dame Edna front Saab 9-5 Aero Estate for 2000, can't find any cheaper the same age.

Think I may have to bite the bullet and pay for an advert on Autotrader/PH and eBay.

Looks a decent car TBH
If it were mine... I'd spend say 300 getting the wheels & door dings fixed
Don't mention the things you had fixed this year, kind of hints at unreliability

Then up the price by £500..

The dings really are very small, I doubt they would even be noticed by a prospective buyer, but I know about them so feel obliged to tell someone before they waste their time coming to look.

Why would you not pay £10-15 to advertise it somewhere where people will actually see it? £50 spent advertising on all three will get it sold, if it's a good car, and well priced?

Also - you are living in a climate where a new car can be leased for as little as £140 per month.

More and more people are starting to see cars as a new car -fixed price per month .... hand it back... get another.

Can I briefly hijack the thread please, can anyone suggest a free web site to advertise competition type cars. It's on PH but ebay and Car and Classic have failed me although it would seem that my price is too high also.

I know the feeling mate. I've had 750 views of my car on autotrader since I put it on there last week and only 3 people interested so far, all viewing the car this weekend so fingers crossed!..

If the price is right- I'd buy it.
And there have been plenty of posts on here recommending the Dane Edna 9-5 recently.

I'm about to sell a beater on PH/ Autotrader. I know what I think is a fair price for it. It is a LOT LESS than what the Autotrader engine thinks.
( Shhh... Autotrader keep getting money from you week by week as long as your car is on there. Hint hint )
