I'm after a camera that I can carry around with me at all times, so it's size is key. I don't want to use the camera on my phone, as that's awful.
My research so far has lead me to the Canon S110 and a used Fuji XF1, reviews have said that the S120 is the best in class, but I don't really want to spend too much more than in the region of £150, so that's ruled out.
Are these two as good as I can get for this sort of range? It's main use if for snapping when I don't have any of the larger cameras with me, so a true point and shoot.

I thought you would agree with that choice, I seem to remember you saying how good they were. What's the performance like in low-light and with a flash? Have you used it much in those sort of situations?theboyfold said:

I have the s95, so an older version. Flash 'reach' isn't that brilliant, but low light is pretty good. Loads of reviews out there.RX100 is MILES better, but twice the weight, size, and more money.
..but s110 is smaller and proper pocket size.

Thanks, I've just been reading about it on DPReview and form factor is important here as I want to be able to actually have it with me on a night out for example. So I think the Canon could be the answer. RX100 is MILES better, but twice the weight, size, and more money.

I have the S120 and it really is small enough for a jeans pocket...

I got my XS3 a couple of weeks ago, and for the size and price (£60) it's hard to fault. Probably not as good IQ-wise as the ones mentioned above but if you want thin, it has thin!

That's tiny, it's also very cheap. However, the reviews seem to be mixed and they suggest a lot of noise even at low ISO
