Hi,

I know this is a tough one with the limited info available...

I have heard a song on the radio twice this week (Absolute/magic/smooth probably)

Kind of folky/rocky with a bit of angry pirate accordion thrown in?

Only other info I can give (IIRC) I think the band are young and one of their dads wrote a song for the Happy Mondays?

Band name begins with G

Sounds as though it could be 'Come With Me Now' by Kongos - they are the sons of John Kongos who sang 'Step On', which was subsequently covered by The Happy Mondays; although of course Kongos doesn't begin with G, but it does have an accordion in it!

Mate, spot on!

Just literally logged back in to say I'd got it

At least there was a "g" IN it?

I remembered something a DJ had said about pronouncing it like "Mentos"!

I'm afraid i've no idea how it's meant to be pronounced, if it's an American name then it's anyone's guess how it's supposed to sound!
