I've missed the boat, but after being a BF2 fanatic, until the girlfriend came along and got bored of watching me shoot people. I've just downloaded BF3. I had to a uy a new graphics card for the PC anyhow so I thought why not. BF4 spec's seem like a PC upgrade away from mine, oh how technology moves on, so BF3 it was. Seems from a quick google that they're quite different games and each one has it's fans.

Anyhow, anyone still play? I'm very much a rookie. But I'm loving seeing the classic comments and frustration about Noobs and the like. Fun times.

Have only started playing today, so know nothing really.

Cant really help with the online stuff BUT!

I built a gaming PC around 13 month ago. Absolutely beasted the spec - it was silly fast and all the lads in the office (I work in I.T) were jealous...

... Or, at least it could have, should have, they would have been, if I'd bothered with a graphics card. I got bored of the PC stuff before committing to actually buying one so just plodded on with a cheapo (I was mainly playing Quake 3 Arena).

Fast forward 13 game-less months and the PS4 came out, games moved on and I was a bit stuck so I bit the bullet and bought a GX-something-or-other-canny-good-one.

Installed BF3, hooked the thing up to a 50" plasma and.... Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus Christ! I'm downloading BF4 right now (it's half price on Origin just now) but BF3 looks unreal. Better than Unreal! Which is what I was playing the last time I was into PC gaming...

I got it free on Origin not so long ago, and it plays amazingly well on my gaming laptop. Played it to death on the Xbox, and I'm finding it a lot more challenging on the PC. I've got BF4 as well but that only runs at around 25fps on my machine.
