Harassing car insurance claims calls

I was getting a few until I finally cracked one day after a nightshift. It went something like this...
Caller - Hello Sir, we're calling you about the recent car accident you had.
Me - Thank God! I've been wondering when you'd call.
Caller - Can you just confirm for me that you were not at fault?
Me - Oh. Er, I was at fault actually. You see, I was twice over the limit at the time.
Awkward pause...
Caller - Did you have any passengers Sir?
Me - Yes, two.
Caller - They'll be able to claim then, as they weren't at fault.
Me - But they both died in the crash.......
Very awkward pause.....
Caller - Oh, er, I'm terribly sorry about that, we'll remove you from our database immediately, sorry to have wasted your time.
Me - Yes. You do that, you callous b
ds....
Harsh but effective.
(Apologies to anyone who's lost a friend or relative to drink driving, as I have. No offence intended)

Just on the off chance she is on a landline, and is using TalkTalk, they have a free barring set up, every time I get a cold, I immediately add them to my list of barred calls, only get the odd one now and again.What can be done to stop?

Get yourself TPS registered (telephone preference service) stops all these nuisance calls. You can just say to the caller you are registered and they soon hang up. We pay about a pound a month extra to have withheld numbers blocked, stops all the nuisance calls
