Gear knob orientation

Been meaning to sort out the orientation of my Gear Lever knob for a while now (ie having 1st, 3rd and 5th gear pointed forwards) and been wondering how best to do it. Originally thought a washer or two, but looks a bit 'homemade'. But just found this on-line, does anyone know if this will solve my problem???

Not 100% sure what you mean, but if standard t5 just slacken the collar bellow the gear knob and adjust the gear knob till the orientation is correct and tighten up.

Oh man. Is it really THAT simple. Yes it is!!! Wish I'd realised that a while ago! Just didn't think of it.
