Hi Ron...There are a few on flea...I have one in my spares box but it took a while for me to find it so I'm a bit reluctant to let it go...However if it helps get you out of trouble then you can use it...Ziga

Hi Kieth
Unfortunately mine is different - much smaller maybe 20mm dia with just 2 lugs that have elongated holes to adjust with like this:- http://s994.photobucket.com/user/rjb382i/media/IMG...
Fortunately I've just spoken to Chris (jack valliant) who has a spare so am going to try his to rule it out of the equation
Thanks anyway
Ron

Big thanks to Chris (Jack Valliant) went down to his to borrow a TPS ( which he managed to break - the big galoot) and came away with a boot full of bits and pieces to try and he also checked the timing while there! Have asked zig to borrow his TPS - will try that if it doesn't work will then move on to try the FPR Chris has lent me.
Thanks all
Ron

Let me know how you get on with the TPS sensor, i have already replaced mine but as they are rare and second hand I may make some adapter plates and to take a later more modern TPS sensor and post the instructions on here.
Yeah I made a bracket for the 350i to mount a much more modern one. I specifically selected it for heavy duty/long life - it's rated for getting on for a million operations or something stupid so should outlive the engine.Unfortunately, rather than being a resistive type it's active. It might be why it lasts so long - maybe it's optical inside or something (I can't remember.) This is a problem because it works in the opposite sense to the original pot! So I also had to make a linear circuit to invert the voltage smoothly. If only they made one which went the other way....
