just one week ago the Rondeau M378/001 startet at Le Mans Classic. Between 1978 and 1988 this car entered 10 times the 24h of Le Mans, more than every other car in the long LM history.

I remember this car being auctioned at Monaco in 2012

IIRC there wasn't a huge amount of interest in the car, the guy who bought it didn't appear to have registered for the auction and borrowed his friends paperwork when the bidding came to an end.
It looked to me like a bit of a spur of the moment purchase - but I could be wrong.
