New guitar, what case will fit it?

Hi guys, I know nothing about guitars but I've just bought an epiphone ej-45 for the mrs as a present. She's just starting up so has nothing at the minute.

I am wanting to get her a case that's plush but not too much money.

The shop I bought it from only had soft cases, their hard ones didn't fit.

Any pointers on a nice case?

Hiscox are very good ones. I have a Gator case for my acoustic, which are also good.

The flight case style offers the best protection, but they're ugly and quite heavy, and probably unnecessary if you aren't going on tour. The classic "fake leather" or "tweed" style ones offer less protection, but are much more pleasant to look at and a little bit smaller too, if that's important.

A quick google tells me that the J-45 is a tiny bit larger than a standard dreadnought guitar, so it will be best to make certain before you buy. Drop them an email and they'll be able to give you a definitive answer.

Was going to suggest checking out the Fusion Gig bags. Just bought the F1 case for my bass and the level of protection is fantastic plus they look great and have a lot of storage.
