Audi TT V6 coupe or roadster ????

Hi im toying with the idea of buying an Audi TT V6 (07 onwards) after nearly buying one a few years ago but ended up with a TTS coupe lol.

Having looked about i cant decide if i want the coupe or roadster, i know the V6 will probably sound better with no roof but then i might look like a prat with the roof down lol.

I think the V6 will give the car a bit of "soul" rather than a 4 cylinder

Ive looked at other coupes etc but i want one with quattro / 4wd for some places i go and live.

Has anyone any experience owning and running one ?

Could you not stretch to a TTRS as a TTS is a better car if not as soulful than the V6 would be.

I'd rather drive a Boxster S all year round on winter tyres than settle for a TT!

If it's definitely a TT you want then the 6 cylinder Roadster. Don't worry what others think of you, if they don't get the convertible experience then just feel sorry for them! It's as much fun on a crisp winters day as a summers one.

Though, I would have a Boxster with winters instead

Boxster would be my choice but if it really must be a TT then roadster V6, get them while you can before they ban anything with more than a 1.4 with 4 cylinders!

Cant really stretch to an TTS or RS even though the 2.5 5 cylinder would be nice.

A boxster or cayman does not offer the security of 4wd i want even on winter tyres, i would even fit winters to the TT for a good few months of the year.

The coupe V6 DSG is £285 pa VED as opposed to £500 for the manual / convertible.

Not a deal breaker, but it would make me think long and hard.

Coupe for me as I'd rather a bit more practicality and security plus if I wanted a 2 seater cabriolet I'd much rather a Z4 or S2000.

It's quite surprising how much you can fit in the boot of the TT coupe and although not comfortable I have survived long distance journeys in the back to. Yes I do have legs and no I'm not a dwarf, the bike also fits in the back with only the front wheel off to.

Ive been thinking and come up with an Alfa Romeo spider Q4, in my eyes it looks great on the outside and should have lots of "soul" with the V6
