Driving experience

Road presence

Running costs and reliability, (merc would be 6 years old and Jag 1).

I do like the Merc and currently have a Merc, but that Jag is just sex.

Would cost a lot, lot less long term too. IMO the AMG will be worth 2-3 times as much as the Jag in 5-7 years time....

Merc no contest. Do folk who are saying jag realise the Merc is the low volume rare version and not just a clk with a big engine a la normal clk63?

AMG as weekend car to do limited miles in and keep for 10+ years because it will probably appreciate in value.

Jag for every day car to do 10,000+miles per year in.

If the Jag is a white roadster, then Merc all day long. Not the same with the coupe.

As an every day proposition the Jag as long as I can stipulate that it has a roof, none coloured wheels and not in white. As an investment and occasional fun blast, the Merc.

Feeling slightly treacherous, I'd go for the AMG. But it's a completely different breed to the F-Type imo.

If you want something to drive about in every day that looks good and sounds great then it's hard to beat an F-Type imo, but there can't be many cars at that price point that are more exclusive / special than a Black series AMG?
