Porsche Cayenne V Mercedes ML V VW Touraeg
Discussion
I can speak for the Merc ML but not the Cayenne or Touraeg.
I have had my ML420 for 6 years now having traded in an ML270. I won't be trading in the ML420 as its a wonderful car and there is no ML in the current range to match it.
Choose the trim level carefully though, Sport is the most popular and comes with man made leather ( wtf ) and the SE has smaller wheels but real cow skin.
Anyway they are very well built, superb for the family, long trips, business meetings, etc etc. Very refined, smooth and powerful. An iron fist in a velvet glove. Brilliant in the snow as well, I put winter tyres on every year and its unstoppable in the remote area where I live.
I pay £35 per month for a Mercedes service Plan which gives me a service every year and the service I receive has been excellent. With an authorised Mercedes stamp in the book you also receive Mercedes roadside assistance.
Both my ML's have been absolutely reliable and I would recommend you look at one seriously.

My wife and I have a Cayenne Diesel> lovely car, never put a foot wrong, lovely interior, great to drive. Not the fastest car on the planet, I'd consider the V8 diesel if you want more poke, but the v6 goes plenty well enough. It is also averaging 36mpg since we got it without effort.
Cherry on top is the best residuals (overall, not just for SUVs).

..I'm a big fan of MLs though, they're lovely.
I've not been in the newest model, but the 2011 model my parents have is ticky/tacky plastic s
thole of a place to sitThe newer ones are on my radar at the moment and after test driving the ML and GL I'm left very impressed with how well appointed they are, better than most, certainly.

Thanks for the replies. I will contact my vw dealer to see what kind of money you would be getting off them. Having not long purchased a Golf R of them I would hope to get a big discount.....
Did you get a deal on the Touraeg? I have recently ordered a Golf R on a PCH deal. Have just asked the same dealer for a PCH quote for a Touraeg. I assume that the depreciation will make a lease quite expensive but as you dont see that many on the road then maybe they are willing to do a deal....
