Where are all the 'spares or repair' Chims...?

Following from another thread where apparently there were masses of Chims falling into a state of disrepair and being offered on Ebay as 'spares or repair' - where the heck are they? Can't seem to find any for love or money...

Last one of that kind that's been discussed on here was back in January 2013, last one that Google found on Ebay was even older than that...

There's a couple cheapos advertised for 5.5-6K in the classifieds, the cheapest one has a gaping big hole in the nearside outrigger for everyone to see, some big scuffs from parking the car against a stone wall by the looks of it, a tear in the rear plastic window and worn leather so in reality it's more of an £8K car before you've even looked at it... then there's the 'easy glassfibre repair' cars from our favourite breakers at around £6K...

Where are all those cars that 'are advertised at £3K but you want to give £2K tops...' - all bought up by abovementioned breakers, then?

There around I bought one from ebay last week but I think 2k is a bit low for anything not totally buggered.

Just keep watching Ebay because if they do come up for that sort of money then they won't be there for long !

We've got a rather special little project in mind and even if it weren't for budgetary constraints, it'd simply feel wrong to use a car for it that is economically viable to return to good original condition as a base...
