Annoyed With Bus Driver

Just want to rant, driving along a 2 lane 30mph dual carriageway last night, I pull away slowly in left lane behind a left turning car and bus driver overtakes me as he's been coming up to the traffic lights at a decent speed.
As the car in front of me disappears, bus driver pulls in with probably a metre to spare, forcing me to brake, and I flash my lights for a couple of seconds to make him aware of my presence.
I get annoyed by his manoeuvre, and as the 30 becomes NSL after a roundabout, I overtake him, drop in front (leaving plenty of space) and drive at 40. No brake testing, no gestures, I'm not like that, he then goes to overtake and I speed up, as we approach the next roundabout he indicates to pull in to the lane I'm in, and proceeds to do so, again causing me to brake so as not to lose my bumper to his n/s rear wheel at 50mph. At that point I beeped and flashed.
That's the end of the incident.
I admit I should've just let it go, and being a ' professional' driver myself, I'm annoyed that I didn't. 99% of the time I'm fine, ignore the idiots, I don't get road rage as it doesn't help, I'm quite calm and chilled and there were no words or actions exchanged in this incident, an email to his employers is going to be sent.
But this time really annoyed me. And what annoyed me more was the fact that both times he pulled back in, the lane he was in would've carried him for a good few miles, there was absolutely no need for him to be pulling in so quick.
I know I was an idiot, just needed to get it out my system, and wish I knew why he did the first pull in so quickly.

Did he have a 'How's my driving. Ring 0800...' sticker on his rear? I used to wonder what happens when you ring those numbers. Just a call centre, I guess. Could have been an opportunity to give them a call I suppose, sounds like a bit of inconsiderate driving but nothing to get too worked up about.

No sticker, it's a local company and weirdly, I googled their address, it gives me a main road right near where I live, yet I've never seen the depot. I think it may be just out of my normal driving area.I'm definetly emailing them, I'm normally tolerant of Bus and delivery drivers, let them pull out of side streets and stops, but I can't say this will make me want to help their drivers out in future.

Bus driver acts like a twit, you then put yourself in his way and are surprised when he continues to act like a twit.These tosspots are better in front of you so you can stay out of their way.
The only time I've ever been moved to email someone about the behaviour of one of their drivers was when a minibus driver from a local school decided to accelerate up my inside at a lane merge point and try to run me into oncoming traffic rather than just let me move over in front. I was well ahead of him and there was no chance of conflict or a close call until he decided to pick a fight, and the bus was full of children.
I got an apologetic email from the school secretary who said she would pass my comments onto the facilities manager who would get back to me. He never has. It's a very pious Christian school but they've yet to learn the art of Christian motoring.

Our one used to go to a voicemailbox , didn't last long as an idea , i didn't even stick mine on the back of the van .We're not all knobs.
Sounds like he misjudged his passing speed and moved over too early initially. Did he have someone up his chuff in Lane 2? That's the only time I might move over a little early (not dangerously close), if I know I'm holding up traffic. You mention you slowed for a car turning left? I presume you were accelerating as the bus passed you and then moved back in?
If it was genuinely accidental then I would have been annoyed to be held back to 40 in a nsl, but I wouldn't have gone for an overtake on the single carriageway.
Was he in service?
There is a world of difference to how these vehicles get driven when in service, compared to running dead.

So he makes what is possibly a genuine misjudgement (why would he cut you up otherwise?), so you then deliberately set out to annoy him by driving at 40 in an NSL and then speed up when he predictably tries to overtake?

I'm a bus driver and if I had made that initial mistake (for arguments sake) I would also have overtaken you if doing 40, but if you had sped up to prevent me pulling back in I would have stayed in lane 2 to let you continue being a tt.

After about 5 seconds of my friend ranting, I saw the Bus Driver's arm spring straight out from the window, with clenched fist on the end, make direct contact with the front of my friends visage
It was hilarious - juts like a jack-in-the-box.
My friend just came back to the car, and said with no hint of irony 'I think I'll just let that one go...'
But it DOES remind me of a funny story from over 20 years ago.
