Live in Britain)
Which decent watch shops would be close to the Elephant and Castle area?

I'm looking to do a lot of browsing and just the one buy over the next few days.
Thanks smile

Elephant and castle isn't an area for high end watch shopping. Whilst it's not by any means as run down as it used to be it's no retail paradise. You are however only a very short bus or tube ride from the West End of London which has flagship stores of all the major brands as well as multiple shops. The arcades off Piccadilly are good for quality used watches too.

Look for the nearest Watches of Switzerland and try Selfridges - they carry a very big stock of premium watches.

Harrods has the best collection all under one roof in London imo but you also have Selfridges, Bonds St and Burlington Arcade with the latter best for your vintage stuff.

None will be open to negotiation on price though so just browse and buy outside of town for better value if your after new.

If you find yourself in Elephant & Castle wearing a nice watch, you pull your sleeve down!

If you buy a watch from another part of London and return to Elephant & Castle with it, you take a cab!

Rent a film called Harry Brown starring Michael Caine to whet your appetite for E&P!

This.
And FFS don't get off the bus/ tube & ask a local where the nearest Rolex dealer is.

The only watches worn in the E and C are stolen ones. Good advice so far. IMO all London watch boutiques are overpriced. See what you like and purchase that watch from the internet.
