low profile jack trolley

Need a low pro trolley that won't break the bank.

Yep, I have one of these. Well made and the rotating handle is great if jacking within a tight space.
Low enough entry to also fit a block of wood between the jack and the chassis.

A trolley jack that doesn't lift high enough to get to the top of the axle stands that it's supplied with

Can't recommend boot sales enough for garage equipment, I got a couple hundred quids worth of low profile sealy jack for £25

My light weight "racing jack" gave way ,luckily i had the axle stands rigged up , and it`s dodgy . it was not cheap .

I've got that Halfrauds one as well, had loads of abuse and never failed, well apart from the plastic handle snapping off.
It's annoying how long it takes to lift high though, I'm going to get a proper one next time that only needs a few pumps to fully erect (queue the jokes)

I have one of these. They don't stay up for long and seem to "deflate" under the weight of the car. You'll definitely need axle stands. Their axle stands are quite good though.

Thats very heavy for a jack -35KG

A friend has one of these, he loves it - lightweight so much easier to move around, but it's only 1.25T capacity, then again it's enough for the Chimaera. about 80mm min height

I have a machine mart one and its ok. Costco do a similar style one, that has more load, lifts higher and is cheaper!

If you dont need to take the wheels of for what you want to do, I would recommend the ramp extenders machine mart sell at less than £15! get someone to check your clearance is its still close, but I much prefer working under the car on ramps compared with axle stands I put a post up in this section last week if you want a picture of them

Those budget ali jacks are ste buy something more substantial like http://www.sgs-engineering.com/hydraulic-jacks/tro... these bare a similar resemblance to Arcan these may be engineering by SGS but I bet they don't make them anyway quality kit and long lasting a trolley jack should last you 20 years + IMO

I think I have the same jack as that but branded as a Sealey 2500LE

The small cheap DIY jacks are OK for removing wheels and changing brakes etc... but struggle to get the car really high if you need to do something underneath the car. This jack makes getting the car high really easy. I can now use the top setting on my axle stands!

Looks like good quality to me Mac I have seen to many of the cheaper ali ones fail regardless of brand mostly generic anyways that one I linked looks a good jack and all steel construction inc the wheels (important) these are the bks but hard to get old of they come in 3 3.25 and 3.5 ton but they are well built and cheap and proper heavy duty inc the size good for home use but not much a bit cumbersome for track days

Costco sell this one as a stock item - circa £80 including the dreaded from memory. They also sell a similar quality ally one but only in batches, not stock
