Just seen the key to a bmw i8 .its a bit different to my mondeo.

I have a new 3 series key, I'm not sure it is actually called a key anymore it's probably called something like a 'vehicle usability interface' or something shyte like that.

ETA some of the mongs I know who drive an AUDI still have to plug them into the dashboard, muppets

Imagine if you could only afford a ford of vauxhall where you actually have to turn a key

I've never understood those stupid "easy open" things, where you can just walk up to the car, get in, start the engine using a button, and drive off.

I suspect this is a female thing, as they take 3974 years to find their keys, so it's easier for them to just walk up to the car with their handbag in tow and tootle off and crash into that new sign the local council have put up.

Men, however, have their keys in their hands by the time they reach the car, and are able to get in, start engine, belt up, and go. Probably 30 seconds at the most.

I think you can also have your Porsche key painted in the same colour as the car itself.

I thought much the same before I got my Clio.
It's key card lives in my wallet, I never have to take it out. Walk up to the car get in, drive off. Great!
Like cruise control, I never saw he point until I used it.

I preferred plugging the BMW keys in, it's a proper place to put the key instead of anywhere in the car.

be a good idea to not lose the key to a £98k car
but if you do you might be glad of the free key cover a lot of insurers seem to give you
