"Top" Top Cats

Just picked the car up from top cats
work completed:-
Diff taken out and rebuilt (it is a "cone" diff)
New front discs and pads
Exhaust manifold removed and welded
Full service
Injectors removed and ultrasonically cleaned
One new injector
MOT
All completed for £1635.22 very happy

When I picked the car up noticed that they had also sorted out the windows so they fully close, also sorted out problem I had with the drivers door card and other "loose" bits, very pleased with the car and for the extra bits that were done without charge.
Most people quted me £500 for the diff plus 5 hours labour, so if you want excellent service at competitive prices try TOP CATS

Funny that. I've just picked up my Chimaera (yesterday) having had .....

- both manifolds repaired and de-catted
- new discs and pads all round
- injectors ultrasonically cleaned
- one injector replaced
- full service
- suspension tinkered with and setup
- bonnet un-seized
- new anti roll bar
- expansion tank repaired#
- engine de-squeaked!

....and a few other bits

Top half of the list is identical!!

Came to around £2000, £1100 of that been labour.

Would have been twice that anywhere else. Not sure anyone else would bother to try and repair the manifolds too, they'd just replace them at £400 a pop.

Top people as always.

Nice to meet you this morning (Yes folks another idiot going to work at 6.45am on a Sunday. Just to confirm that your car sounded brilliant with the partial de-cat (Probably the first person to relate that to you since you only had it done yesterday).

Good to meet you to Keith, sorry I didn't have more time to chat, was running a little late!

The de-cat has made it a little louder, but mainly changed the exhaust note to a more throaty sort of noise. I like it anyway!

My mate came to pick me up in the car yesterday, and it was the first time I'd heard the car been driven with me not in it. Reminded me why I fell in love with the cars in the first place!

It's quite bizarre! I haven't seen another TVR (other than a red S the other day on the M4) for weeks, the last place I thought I'd see another was early sunday morning in reading! I guess the Optimax attracts us there!
