Germany Car Rental

Hello all knowledgable headpistons

lately ive been covering a lot of miles around germany in a rental car - the most fun ive had so far is in a gt86 form hertz or sixt

my next trip will be a lot of driving around the ring and spa - im looking for a rental car with [u]radar active cruise control[/u]

any ideas best way to go about it ? (i.e a car that has it as standard)

Not sure you can take a rental car around a race track! I v.much doubt the insurance will cover that. But well done for trying - very PH.

Slightly related, but I'm just curious.

If you took say a V12 AMG Merc round the track and had this feature enabled and then just followed say the same car in front of me being driven by a pro and mimicked his lines, would it be able to keep up?

I like your way of thinking, in theory with traction control and so on it should work

In reality i see you getting caught out not being able to hold the car on/pass the limit and worrying about weight transfer etc etc

The real reason of the post re cruise control was not for the track use, but more so for afterwards

I go to the ring and need to cover about 200 miles afterwards which usually im exhausted - normal cruise control doesnt cut it. Thats why im trying to find a rental car with radar active CC to sit back and relax on the autobahn

Is it just me that finds that ^ very scary!!!
