Fox hunting and Halal meat??

just what is the difference between killing a Fox by a pack of hounds, (slowly bleeding to death), and slitting an animals throat,(Halal meat), (slowly bleeding to death)?, excuse me, but it seems the same to me, a mere layman.

is there any difference at all then?, if so how come the Muslims are allowed to practice this savage killing yet we are not?

You are wrong, fox's meet a quick death, and are not blead to death like Halal Meat. That is the difference.
Yes both are savage, obviously Halal more so, but they are not rich people who tend to bleed animals to death slowly, so it is fine.

I have nothing against Halal slaughter (or Kosher slaughter for that matter) or hunting, even though I don't take part in or enjoy the results of any of them (except when I eat in curry houses or Jewish restaurants).

Halal butchery is disgusting, and yes I have unfortunatly seen it happen on video, one of the vilest things I have ever seen.

Sooner this is stopped the better, but of course it wont happen as it would be politically fragile to do so

When I was in hospital for a long stay, most of the food sucked big time... However, there was halal curry on the menu. They weren't keen to give it to me, but when I started to play the inverted discrimination card, they relented. Bloody lovely

Do you eat meat? Have you seen regular butchery? Its "not nice" either, frankly.

I sympathise with your view that it is not the most humane method of slaughter...to some extent.

Although - its purpose was to be (IIRC) the humane method of killing given the technology of the time...correct me if I'm wrong.

I have seen halal butchery of chickens first hand. I have also seen factory butchery of chickens on film.

During the halal butchery the man deliveratly placed the chickens so they were facing away from each other, calmed them, stroked them, said his prayers in a calm tone, apologising for having to take their lives to eat. relaxing the birds before cutting the spinal chord and continuing to calm them as they died.

In the factory, they were strung up by their feet and run through a circular saw. The saw meerly mamed some of them. They were petrified as they died.

At least the halal butcher took the time to think of the chickens welfare

Back where I grew up "Chukie Chickens" had a factory.

One bloke (a school acquaintance) got a job there and I asked him what he did.

He said (and he may have been lying - don't think so, though) his job (for eight hours a day) was to cut their throats with a Stanley Knife prior to them hitting the circular saw thing which decapitates them.

Nice!

Now I've decapitated Chickens (and a host of game birds) in my time with something a little more suitable than a Stanley Knife - but eight hours a day? Blimey!

I always used to ask for Asian vegetarian food on airlines, after one occasion when the bloke sitting next to me had a delicious vegetable curry when I had the usual piece of boiled boot.

These days, I don't bother. You're just asking for a strip search.

Hi, no I dont eat meat at all, and the reason is I saw the slaughter of a Cow on TV and I was revolted by it........you would think in todays times there would be a painless way for animals to be killed.
