Narferk to Portsmouth yesterday and back again today, the M25 was solid both ways, with major delays, spent at least an hour, probably more, this afternoon, just stop start, never seen so much traffic... roof off obviously, but feck me, its no fun standing still on the M25 in blistering heat with the roof off.. my right arm is incinerated, my left leg has clutch RSI, and my right leg has developed some kind of nerve dysfunction... I also lost about three kilos in body fluids... as a result of which I suffered from dehydration and the onset of some form of madness.
And whilst sitting in this nightmare from hell, I look around me, and I see people in cars I'd never dream of buying, windows up, aircon on, chilled and relaxed... But when it all starts moving, I know nothing will keep with beastie, and the noise is epic... apart from the 75mph convey with a fecking van sitting ten feet off my rear end. And I have never seen so many fecking idiots on the road in one day... 80mph and all sitting a few feet off each others bumpers. And changing lanes without indicating like it was some kind of pre-agreed dance routine. Just bloody dangerous... These people have no fecking idea.
So I'm seriously pissed off, burnt, slightly mad, and totally bemused by the lack of driving skills apparent on our roads....
And I think there should be a law that limits vans to 40mph... fecking idiots the lot of them. And women drivers. And German cars. In fact all of them.
I'll go now....

I got chatting to fella in the pub last summer and we got onto talking about work. He said "I bet you can't guess what I do". Now it was the middle of summer and he was wearing a short sleeved shirt. His right arm was very brown up to his elbow compared to the rest of him. "I bet I can" I said. "You drive for a living"
"No mate" he said. "I'm a vet".

It's one of the reasons I do track days and now sprints,you get nowhere fast down here on the roads.
I would love to live further north ( apart from there being Northerners there) but it is too late to relocate i reckon.
When on the way to Shakey a few years ago and stuck in super traffic on the M25 in hot weather, had to pull over on the hard shoulder to get out the car as it was soooo hot my daughter couldn't stand it any longer!

Went out in the griff yesterday to see my mate's modded scooby on the dyno, roof off natch., went inside to watch and chat, left for home about 2 hour's later, and gets in car to find seats are about the temperature of mars, holy s
