2 Lancasters - Which airshow?
Discussion
Looking at the BBMF site it seems there's several airshows a sensible distance from me where they'l be flying. Dunsfold Wings and Wheels, Bournmouth Air Festival and Eastbourne Airshow. Anyone been to more than one of them to suggests the relative merits of each?
Display list for Dunsfold is looking the best to me so far bu I believe both the others are free?

I've worked Eastbourne and bournemouth numerous times, unfortunatley I worked carfest last year instead of wings and wheels so can only offer some advice on that.
Obviously with all of them it will be overly busy. Eastbourne I really enjoy and will be there again this year the advantage is you can get the train and in a few minutes walk your on the beach, you can also go up the cliff and aircraft fly below you, the downside of your into meeting the crews is there's no local airport for the vast majority of the teams to land at. But the show is free.
Bournemouth is my favourite show in the summer 4 days of free airshow plus all the other activities going on like trips to RFA ships, bands and entertainment. Again it will be busy so train or park and ride. The advantage being the 2 lancs will be landing at bournemouth so depending on display slots you will be able to meet the crews down near the pier.
Dunsfold I hear is a very good show, from my experience of dunsfold shows traffic can be a nightmare. Add to that 2 lancasters and having to pay £21+, I'd give it a miss.

I personally will be going to Eastbourne, watching the aircraft display below you at Beachy Head is excellent, and as for Wings & Wheels, if you are only really fussed about the Lancs' you could watch if from outside.I did this last year, or at least the last hour or so, when the weather turned out to be better than expected.
