Been looking at Nikon D7000's all week working out the best deal. Amazon had the D7000 with the 18-105 VR at £619.

Just about decided to pull the trigger and it's up to £699.

It's odd looking online at Nikon prices too....it seems that most places charge the same amount for the same camera/kit....like price fixing.

In case you would be interested, MPB Photgraphic have a lightly used D7000 (1606 shutter count) for £449.

Might be worth a look?

Use http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com for big ticket items, it shows you the history of an item on Amazon and alerts you when the price drops.

Saved myself a few £ over the years

I've always wondered how they do this, i'm guessing they use the tracking cookies on your machine to to work out which items you've spent time looking at. And then when you return they hike the price because they know you're interested.

It's probably a price offered by one of Amazon's listed traders which has since been dropped (price that is). New Nikon prices are normally set in stone but I recently bought a D7100 from John Lewis who were offering the lens I wanted £20 cheaper than elsewhere plus the £100 cash back from Nikon.
