Mentioned by Kinky in the now-locked thread on the Cringeworthy thread - what is the story there? What must we avoid falling foul of to avoid further cases in future?
If specific details can't be disclosed by PH staffers, surely we can be advised as to the matter to which said case pertains?

I believe the incident in question is one where a poster asked who he could email in order to become a moderator, looking to send a "moderating CV" on, so Sc0tt, posing as a mod, asked the poster to forward the CV on to him by email. He then proceeded to lol, and revealed that he was not actually a moderator, and may or may not have shared the contents of the email in a thread. Sc0tt was then banned, and Kinky stated that there could be legal ramifications to impersonating a moderator, though what these ramifications were has not yet been clarified by Kinky or PH.
I'd be quite interested to see how the court case goes, if indeed any judge in the land will hear it. It's not like you're impersonating a police officer or a doctor or something.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with PH, or HM.
Again, jumping to conclusions. It's a private matter for the person concerned. And none of our business.
And just to clear up any confusion; this not relate to anything that happened yesterday; either with Sc0tt or anyone else.
The mods are in a privileged position of being asked by PHers from time to time for assistance in personal matters. This is usually done by using the REPORT button on a given post/thread; but emails are also sent to individuals for help. In this instance, all requests should go directly to Eybic (Nathan).
Hence why mod impersonation is not taken lightly.
