This may either be due to:

My deafness. This does not help when it comes to sound-related competitions.

My youth. I have not had enough time to listen to various engines and note what car they power.

(No, of course I'm not trying to excuse my blatant lack of knowledge!)

I actually thought the F1 engines were the easiest - God I miss those V10s

That is piss poor.

When I listened to them again after getting a score I realised a *very* basic error, I was spending too much time listening to the detail of the sound and completely failed to pick up that the F1 cars were going past a stationary microphone where as the road cars the microphone was on board...

Doh!
