Go Pro + Sony Movie 13

Ok....I find the gopro software crashes all the time. It's ok to edit clips and turn into Avi's but not for making full movies (not for me anyway)

So I have Sony 13 which I like using.......it seems I could just drop the raw GoPro footage in there direct (I shoot 1080p 60fps - so should I? I is there a point to using the GoPro software first (if I dont think the footage needs correcting?)

I did try yesterday and the rendered video seemed to have faint horizontal lines??
