paintless dent removal

I find car park dents to my car doors really annoying and I’ve had many on my cars over the years. I’ve always been impressed with the guys that use those metal tools to remove them down the doors. Bit of an art I think. However, the last guy who came out to my house used a glue gun/pull system, which frankly didn’t look like something that would be too difficult to master myself, and frankly I felt a bit aggrieved paying £60 for the job.

Has anyone used these glue systems personally and can you use them on the majority of the smaller dents regardless of door, wheel arch etc.?

Any kits people have bought and rate would be appreciated - kits on the internet seem to vary massively in cost

I would also be interested to know if there are any good DIY kits available as I noticed this morning that I have acquired another parking ding on one of my cars.

A few years ago, I bought a dent removal kit off ebay for £15. It was the glue one and came with all the bits and bobs.
After several attempts at trying to remove the dent it turned out to be a load of st, returned it and got a refund.

The professional equipment is probably going to be much better.

I bought one off Ebay for a tenner, it was called 'Ding King.' If you have a wide shallow dent it works a treat. Anything 'sharp' or with a crease in it you can only do so much, but often enough to finish off with filler.

As with any profession, when you get a good guy it's amazing what they can achieve, and well worth the cost. The average guys suck their teeth and say things like "needs a body shop for a decent job" I'll do what I can. The bad guys just get stuck in and make a real mess of it.
